Wanted to get this info out ASAP for my dear friends traveling, or those who may need enough time in advance to get it on their calendar.
The summer before I turned 38, Elliot and I joked how I had thrown him 3 birthday parties and I hadn’t had any in our time together. It was then that we decided 40 was the perfect time to make that happen. I had avoided talking about what we’d do for a while, because I realized I needed to do *something* for it.
After going to a friend’s party, I realized that I couldn’t celebrate 40 years of life without a little dancing! And when I asked myself what sums up childhood nostalgia for me? LISA FRANK! And what 80’s baby doesn’t love a reason to dress up and do a theme? :) Feel free to wear all the things that are nostalgic for you. Bonus points for rainbow leopard print.
We’ve booked the Redbud to host the party and it will be from 7-10pm on Saturday the 23rd of August.
👩🎤There will be face painting and a fenced in backyard with outdoor games. You're welcome to bring lawn chairs & blankets. There will be foldable tables & chairs set up across the space.
👶🏻 Littles are welcome to join the party, but feel free to use this as an excuse for a night out without them. Whatever’s your jam!
🧥 Wear weather appropriate clothing. Redbud is an indoor/outdoor venue. Most of the party will be outside.
🍔🍻 Smash Boyz will be there and have burgers (veggie and GF options available) for purchase from 7-9pm (or until they sell out) and there is a cash bar with beer and drinks.
🚘 Parking is free & easy! Park in the lot across from Redbud or along 13th or 12th street.
